Canon PRINT App Reviews

The app is functional enough, but some things are poorly designed. The printer I have connects to the app fine. However, there is frustration when it comes to printing documents. In some reviews, it mentions using Cannons cloud print service to print documents, and that is the only way. Well, the statement that it is the only way is false. You can print without the cloud solution, but it is an annoying process. In Apple Pages, you need to click the icon that brings up a small menu, click PDF, click the Cannon app on your screen (it may require scrolling) and you should be good to go. Even though this doesnt sound tedious, it shouldnt require this many steps. Also, always keep it in PDF, and dont use Word or Pages. Try ePub at your own risk. There is one thing Cannon should do, and that is to either see if Print app menus are allowed in iOS (besides AirPrint and in Google apps, Google Cloud Print), or to make the app less picky about document formats and to allow better document access (if possible in iOS).

This app dont work for mx340. The old app worked great with no problems. It looks for a printer that both phone and printer are on same network but just pinwheels.

Doesnt connect. Doesnt show ink levels. Worthless.

iPhone can do everything this app does already. This app cant even tell you your printer status or show ink levels. In a word, USELESS.

Just got it today and it works with my laptop wirelessly but wont print with the app. Please fix this.

I downloaded this app for my Canon MG 3520, within two minutes I downloaded a beautiful picture, it worked fast and fine I did not have success with other apps. Im still in shock but very happy, it was very quick. And all from my iphone6.

I put in the dimensions for photos that I want printed, and it never comes out correct. They are either too short or too small. How the heck do you add stuff to the documents section of the app so you can print documents? I can find no information online on how to do this and there is no help in the app. This is a very frustration app&printer.

If you want to set up your printer wirelessly give up now and go buy a usb cable and use it wired. It wont find your router, so dont bother.

It took forever to hook everything up and read all the instructions for the printer (which may I add were just numbered very weirdly) The app fails miserably in simplicity! It just doesnt let you now what youre doing or if youve done anything right. Then when youre 80% sure youre in the right place, it lags horribly and uses a lot of battery. Then when youre almost there, choosing the picture you want to print THE APP SAYS IT CANT COMMUNICATE WITH THE PRINTER?... Ah yes because all the trial and error in connecting with the printer, router, and phone meant absolutely nothing... Things here need fixing before I waste any more of that time I remembering I dont have

It is very easy way for scanning,printing with this app....

There are some functions that could use work, like the documents print function. I simply just took at screenshot and cropped the document I needed to print. Then I edited the settings within the app to print the "photo" on letter sized plain paper. Overall, descent app!

It finds a printer MX470, but not the one I actually have which is MX479. I tried to print anyway, but it doesnt do anything..

Worked for a time - then stopped. Cannot communicate, does not work! Extremely frustrating!

This app is absolutely horrible and I can never print anything because it wont let me select my printer that Ive already registered!!! The old app worked fine for me but now I cant use it or download it. Boooooooo FIX THIS. I bought this printer so I could print from my smart phone. This is a worthless piece of junk app.

Constantly disconnect on iOS 9.3 version iPhone.. It was working and now it not. I am angry. App need to find that bug for iPhone 6s.

Works good but needs a way to edit document name at anytime when needed.

When I tap to print a photo from my phones gallery is says that I have no photos in my phone when i know I have well over 1,000 pics

I have to agree with the others unfortunately -- prints pics fine but I need it for documents more than pics!!?? How in the H E double hockey sticks do you do that without jumping thru a hundred hoops??!! I want to return the printer because the app is lousy lol but I do have a laptop .. Just inconvenient!!

With the right set up from canon support and the right app from Apple Store was so easy to install my iPhone and iPad to the printer to scan my paperwork I still dont know how many pages Thanks to Canon and Apple
