Canon PRINT App Reviews

It may be my inexperience, as I just downloaded the app and tried to use it. I was able to scan from my MX922 to my iPad Pro, but cant seem to print a thing. If I select Print Document, and select a pdf, the error message says "Cant print document." Thats a disappointment! If I choose a Word document, the app displays (and prints) a blank page. Thats just as bad. However, I was able to scan both B/W and color documents...BUT not with the document feeder. There seem to be a lot of bugs with this app, but I can scan which is why I got it. I can already print directly to the MX922 using the WiFi function.

The app forces you to use a cloud interface to print documents. Whats worse, the user can be stuck without a means to retrieve the printer registration information required to sign up for Canons cloud document printing feature. Awful app design should be an embarrassment to Canon.

Canons Easy-Photo Print says its obsolete and recommends switching to this app. Unfortunately, all it does is waste expensive consumables and print blanks. Not a lot of testing going on at Canon these days! May work with 2015 devices, but if you own older printers, its safer to stay away. UI quality is unworthy of a major manufacturer like Canon.

I dont know if its the Selphy printer or the programming. Returning printer to store to complicated.. Wont support my smart phone says its an authorized device when I plug it in directly. Dont buy

I should have expected this. As soon as any company makes a mass deal with a computer super power, the product quality goes to absolute garbage! Save your money, NEVER INVEST IN ANY CANON PRODUCT, CAMERAS INCLUDED!

I couldnt use Airprint with my Canon printer but this worked.

I downloaded the app so I could scan directly to my iPad. It worked well with my Canon Pixma MG3200 printer / scanner. Connected automatically through AirPrint, and I simply had to click "scan." Scanning 2nd page of the document was totally intuitive, and I was able to save it easily as a .pdf file. The only slightly tricky part was finding where the file went. I tried to find where it resided by exiting the app and searching my iPad, and I also tried finding the file to attach through the Mail app. Neither of those worked, so I went back into the Canon app, and found that if I clicked "Print Document" I could find the file(s) I scanned, then email them from there. It was not extremely intuitive (otherwise I would give 5 stars), but I still managed to make it work with very little frustration. Try this app, if you need to do simple scanning of images or documents from your Canon AirPrint / Pixma printer/scanner to your iOS Device.

I tried to connect my IPad using this REQUIRED to use app, and followed the instructions, and STILL was unable to print. What happened to the simple " press wifi button to find available printer, connect?"

I could not use air print with my Selphy CP900, but this app worked just fine with it.

App found printer on the network right away. Worked perfect with that specific model.

Take the printer back - do not endure the pain of setup if you do not have an WPS router and auto set button!!!!!

There is no PC or wifi at my work. I need to print from my iphone so I purchased a canon with good reviews in hopes to be able to do so. Oops. Cant do that. I never would have guessed that things can ever be as simple as the mind conceives it.

Will only scan, but will not print. It connects to my MX340 fine and will scan but when I try to print it says cannot find printer. Waste of my time.

The previous app was much better. The new app does not work with the Canon CP 900 over wifi. Disappointing upgrade

Plain just doesnt work. Went through the set up like 3 times on my phone and still wont work. Finally got fed up and just hooked up a usb cable to my computer to make the printer work. Oh by the way, the printer didnt come with a usb cable. Had to go back to the store for that. Not happy, canon.

It cuts off the sides of pictures on the selphy printer this ap needs more printing options. For example a resizing feature or two pictures on on sheet.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PRINTER OR THIS COMPANY. Everytime I try to print a document from my Ipad, it says "Failed to print" and stops in the middle of it. Theres no troubleshooting instructions in the manuals. Doesnt have AirPrint, which is the whole reason I went out and bought a wireless printer. You have to download this awful canon APP which is slow and useless. Im returning this piece of garbage tomorrow. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Terrible printing app. You cant print a document without hitting the image correction and that messes up the document. Do yourself a favor and dont buy a canon printer that doesnt have AirPrint capability so you wont have to mess around with this worthless app.
